(i) The Association shall consist of two categories of members, viz. Ordinary members and Associate members.
(ii) The Association, thus constituted, shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal, with power to acquire and hold, and/or dispose of property both movable and immovable, and to do all other matters Incidental or appertaining to a body corporate, and shall by the name of the Association sue and be sued.
(i) Any person serving in the post of Teacher in any Primary school, in the State of West Bengal, if applied in the prescribed form (as supplied by the G.B) on payment of the prescribed fees for membership, he/she can become an Ordinary Member of the Association.
(ii) Any Retired Primary School Teacher in the State of West Bengal if applied in the Prescribed form (as supplied by the G.B) on payment of the prescribed fees. for membership may become an Associate Member of the association.
(iii)A teacher serving in more than one Educational Institution in the state of West Bengal shall be entitled to be a member only in the school where he/she is serving permanently at present.
(I) The rate of subscription of membership (both Ordinary & Associate) for a particular year shall be fixed by the Governing body (G.B).
(II) The G.B shall have the power to change the rate of subscription at any time of the year. subject to confirmation in the Annual General Meeting or a special General meeting called for the purpose
(III) The G.B shall have the power to fix and impose Delegate fee as and when called for
(IV) The State Committee (for the purpose of their own programme) shall have the power to fix and collect Delegate fee and Donation as and when necessary, after getting prior written permission from the G.B
(V) The State Committee shall have the power to fix and collect the prices of its ow publication if the G.B permits it to do so.
(VI) The prices of all other publications will be determined and collect by the General body only.
(I) A member may terminate his/her membership by sending a letter of Resignation to the Secretary of the State Committee.
(II) A member who fails to pay his/her Annual Subscription for any particular year shall automatically cease to be a member of the Association. Membership may be renewed on payment on all due subscription.
(III) Ordinary membership shall cease immediately on termination of the employment on account of retirement, registration, permanent transfer of a member beyond the administrative boundary of the state of West Bengal. However, no such cessation of membership will occur if a member changes from one school to another Committee.
(IV) The State Committee may take action, subject to the approval of the State Disciplinary Sub Committee against any member leading to his/her removal of membership for acts of prejudicial to the interests of the Association of acts calculated to damage the dignity of the association or to lower it in public eyes.
The State Committee shall be responsible for the safe custody of the funds, properties and assets of the society.
The funds of the society shall be kept in banks/ post offices/ mutual funds and be invested in any securities specified under Sec. 20 of the Indian Trust Act, 1882.
The books of accounts and other statutory shall be kept at the registered office and shall be open to inspection of the members of such time and place as the State Committee directs on a written request made by any member.
The accounting year of the society shall be form 1 day of January of each year to 31 day of December of following year.
